Open PainterTerms of Service

These terms cover the openpainter.dev website and its services: accounts, the Materials+ subscription and Teams, including access through Open Painter Connect and Open Painter Studio (together, the "Platform"). Open Painter and Connect are free software under GPL-3.0-or-later (see licenses); these terms do not limit what that license allows you to do with the software.
Accounts
You need an account to subscribe, to join a team and to sign in from Open Painter. Keep your credentials private; you are responsible for activity on your account. You may revoke signed-in devices at any time.
Materials+
Materials+ is a subscription that grants access to packs in the Materials+ catalog while it is active. Packs are licensed, not sold, under the Materials+ License. Files you installed remain on your computer after cancellation, but downloads and updates require an active subscription.
Teams
Teams gives a team one shared material library. Its plan follows the team's self-declared annual revenue: free under $10,000, and a paid monthly plan per team above that, as shown on Pricing. Owners and admins manage members, invitations and approvals; members share materials with the team. Shared materials are available to the team's members, and files already installed on a member's computer cannot be withdrawn remotely. While a team's plan is not active, its library does not sync or download.
Payments
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Prices are shown before purchase; taxes may apply. Payments are processed by Stripe. See the refund policy.
Acceptable use
- Do not share account credentials or device tokens, or circumvent access controls.
- Do not redistribute Materials+ packs or extract their assets for resale as standalone textures.
- Only share materials with a team that you have the right to share.
- Do not abuse the service (automated bulk downloading, scraping, or attacks).
Changes and termination
We may update the Platform and these terms; material changes are announced in advance. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may ask us to delete your account at any time through our contact form.
Liability
The Platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim.
