About this collection

20 native PBR Fabrics & Clothing Materials smart materials, numbered 181–200, exclusively for Materials+ subscribers.

Cotton Fabric, Heavy Cotton, Linen, Wool, Felt, Fleece, Corduroy, Velvet, Satin, Silk, Polyester Fabric, Nylon Fabric, Ripstop Nylon, Ballistic Nylon, Tactical Fabric, Burlap, Carpet, Synthetic Carpet, Knitted Fabric, Quilted Fabric.

Each has eight 2K half-float maps: full-color Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, Normal, Height, AO, Emission and Opacity, plus three aligned abrasion maps and eight editable controls. Native layers and composed-normal anchors respond to destination Normal, AO, Curvature/edge and World Normal bakes.

Native Fiber Sheen provides grazing-angle fabric response; satin and silk use directional anisotropy. Each source has registered weave or pile relief. Burlap and knit have small inter-yarn cutouts. Ripstop reinforcement and quilt seams align across all maps. Align UVs to yarn direction and set physical scale using the included guide. Folds, drape, loose hairs and silhouette changes require geometry.

Requires Open Painter 0.12.5+ and Connect 0.2.2+. Download separately from the paid library; these materials are hidden for free accounts and are not bundled in either addon.

Original imagegen RGB sources are 1254 pixels, resampled into authored 2K maps. These are realistic artist-authored PBR approximations, not measured scans. Native optics and sheen apply to the texture set; texture-only exports require these scalar properties to be configured in the destination renderer.
